Union with God through Charity and Hospitality
Join us in prayer, contemplation, and service to God and community
We are the Benedictine Nuns of Visitation Monastery Akpugoeze, Enugu State, Nigeria, domiciled in the Catholic Diocese of Ekwulobia. Our monastery was founded by Late Rev. Mother Mary Charles Anyanwu OSB on 17th February 2004 and officially opened on 14th March 2004 with 10 Nuns. Today, we are a vibrant community of 24 consecrated women dedicated to prayer, work, and community living.
Prayer and work. We are consecrated women who dedicate our lives to prayer, work and community living, for the service of God and Humanity. We follow the Rule of St. Benedict of Norcia that stresses work and prayer - 'Ora et Labora'.
